The Welcomer
Through the many stages of sculpting this being I found that there was a sense of power that flowed through her expression and posing. This gave me the opportunity to examine my own thoughts and feelings on power itself.
The first and easiest format of power to express was the power to dominate. Expressing capability by the metric of being better than others and over them as a result. This isn't a space that I invest in manifesting with my creative energy.
I continued to explore relationships with that potency and arrived at the power in welcoming. While power over others can be appealing, power with others is necessary for all truly monumental tasks in the world.
I settled on embracing that mass and power for this being in a form that brings others in. An energy that provides a safe space to be vulnerable and make the errors necessary to grow. A power that isn’t wielded to make enemies weak, but to empower allies in actualizing to far more than they could previously comprehend.
The energetic forms rising from her hand are shifted projections of herself a dozen fold, an expression of adaptability. Being able to support anyone in embracing their potential to become more while maintaining clarity of self. The support of others does nothing to impede her own progress as her steps ascend, each rising with the swirling ground.
What does power mean to you? Where do the very definitions we hold limit our potential? Where do our definitions limit the potential of those around us?
May your power be like a green thumb, where that which you touch can’t help but grow with excitement and passion!
